Location: Located in central Japan, west of Tokyo.

Look out for: Well, you won't miss it - Mt Fuji (on a clear day of course! ) Pristine nature, hot springs, wineries and beautiful lakes. 

Food to try: Hotou (Hearty miso noodle stew) 

If in season, try a peach or some grapes sold at stalls along the road. 

Tips: Avoid the crowds and visit places at sunrise or sunset.  Recommend renting a car.
